Fashion Contest Guidelines:
All players must follow the game & forum rules.

For Hosts:
☆  Contests in this section are to be story writing ones. They may be non-edit, edit, or have both non-edit and edit entries allowed.

☆  MR Contests may last between two and five rounds.

☆  Contest rounds may last no shorter than 12 hours and no longer than 120 hours. Each round must last the same amount of time. Include the time limit & number of rounds in your title...

Examples:
Sassy Sandals (Edit: 24H + 2R)
Sassy Sandals (Non-Edit: 24H + 2R)
Sassy Sandals (24H + 2R + E)
Sassy Sandals (24H + 2R + E/NE)

☆  The schedule for your contest must be included in the first post...

Example:
Round 1 Will Close: February 02 at 14:34
Round 2 Will Close: February 07 at 14:34
Round 3 Will Close: February 12 at 14:34
Round 4 Will Close: February 17 at 14:34
Round 5 Will Close: February 22 at 14:34

☆  As soon as your contest round ends, create a post that says "ROUND 1 CLOSED" to avoid confusion and late entries. Also, edit your first post to include what round your contest is on.

☆  You may only open one contest at a time; either single or multi-round. You may not have a contest open in each section at the same time. Additional contests will be closed.

☆  There should be only one contest of any theme at any one time. Before you start a contest, search the section to be sure there aren't any similar contests already open.

☆  You may not offer a prize of Fashionista dollars, attitude, or pop.

☆  You must post the winners of your contest within 24 hours after your contest closes. Your thread will be closed 24hours after your contest ends. Post your results in your contest thread. Do not make a new topic just to announce your winners.

☆  As soon as your contest closes, create a post that says "CLOSED" to avoid confusion and late entries. Contact The Moderator to add CLOSED to your title. Include a link to your contest in the message.

☆  After you post your contest results, please notify The Moderator. Include a link to your contest in the message.

☆  Contest threads are for entries only. No chat allowed unless it is a part of the host's format.

☆  Upon request, contest threads may be left open 24 hours after results have been posted to allow participants to give the hosts feedback. This is the only time chatting is allowed in the contest threads. Please stay on topic.

☆  Do not advertise your contest in other threads, on players' profiles, or private messages.

☆  If you've sent a request to The Moderator notifying her that you've posted results for your current contest, that completes your responsibility for that contest. You may open a new contest as soon as you've sent this request. You don't have to wait for your old contest thread to be closed.

For Participants:
☆  It is your responsibility to be aware of the time limits of multi-round contests. If you fail to post your image on time, the host may disqualify you instantly.

☆  Use your own images that were created on this site ONLY. You may not use images from the web or other game sites. Violating this rule will disqualify you from the contest and you will receive an official warning and/or ban.

☆  You are not allowed to enter a contest round if you missed a previous round or were disqualified.

☆  Contest threads are for entries only. No chat allowed unless it is a part of the host's format.

☆  Upon the host's request, contest threads may be left open 24 hours after results have been posted to allow participants to give the hosts feedback. This is the only time chatting is allowed in the contest threads. Please stay on topic.

☆  Do not enter contests that have Closed in their titles and/or a post by the host that says Closed.

How To:
You can download an image of your Fashionista using the option on of the Goodies Page or the camera in the bottom right corner of your closet. Then upload your image to an image hosting site. Finally, insert the link to your uploaded image in your post with the following BBcode:

Code:

[IMG]IMAGE LINK HERE[/IMG]

Please Note:
☆ If a player violates the contest rules three times, that player will be prevented from hosting and/or participating in contests for 30 days.

Additional Information:
☆ If you're hosting a multi-round contest that is no longer in round one, you may close early if all of your participants have posted.

☆ Hosts have the option of allowing players to create posts to interacting with each other. This needs to be listed in the first post of the contest.

☆ Listing winners isn't important to most of the SWC part of the LaF community. If the host adds a final story or epilogue and then says something like, "thank you all for participating" that's still results.

◄ Additional Information About Editing ►

Please Note:
If you use any item (pose, clothing item, accessory, etc…) from Nineland or anywhere else, acknowledgement of the original artist must be listed with your edit every time that edit is presented.
→  Special thanks to Katy-Keene for this suggestion.

What is an edited Fashionista?
Editing means you use an editing software to change something in the image you have. You actually changing the visual look of your doll to make a feature or item of clothing that isn't already available in Like A Fashionista.
Special thanks to Chockolate for creating this clarification.

How much editing is allowed?
Please use the standard-style pose (you may, however, use the same changes that a non-edited post could have, such as the Seluna arm-type variation). Edited Fashionistas are to still be standard size (approx. 260x430). You may flip the image for your edited entry.

What is a Franken-Nines design?
A Franken-Nines design is combining two or more items from Nineland to create an entirely different item/outfit.
Special thanks to Neriah for creating this clarification.

◄ Pre-Contest Rounds, Games, Etc... ►

As the SWC section continues to develop,
one of the newest features being presented by players is a pre-contest or prologue.
These items are to be hosted in their own thread.
They must abide by the Story Writing Single Round Rules.

Have fun❣

Use GMT
Please use GMT when posting what time your contest will close. Our community has players all over the world. Using GMT (forum time) prevents confusion.

Title Changes
In order to add the [CLOSED] and [RESULTS POSTED] tags, contest titles may be edited because thread titles have limited space available. I try to remove only the time and editing status for the contests wherever possible so the actual contest title stays intact.

For Example

"Mr. Moto Takes a Chance" Hires Fashionistas 48H E/NE

would be changed to

[CLOSED] "Mr. Moto Takes a Chance" Hires Fashionistas [RESULTS POSTED]
