The LaF Community is such a happy and sweet one. 'Nistas are kind, thoughtful, and caring. They are so much fun, too! Emmy thought back over the many joyful times they'd all spent together. Things had been a little -- heavy lately, though. Maybe the problem was life, in general. Maybe it was just the hustle and bustle of the season leaving everyone tired. Things were quiet...too quiet. The neighborhood was lifeless and boring.

Emmy was concerned. Things just didn't feel like they should. On Saturday, she visited each 'Nista in the neighborhood. They reminisced about their first job. Being a baker had been fun even though the pay was low. Looking back over how far they'd come, each 'Nista pulled out a part of their old outfit, added an updated sparkle to it, and began making their favorite dishes. All the wonderful smells filling the air started bringing the neighborhood back to life!

Michty combined the two things she loved the most (cooking and music) by transforming her old garage into a bar-restaurant and concert hall. The band loved her homemade pizzas and salad. After a huge food fight and peals of laughter, clouds of flour surrounded them as they played music for hours.

After Sapho filmed her Christmas Special and the children left, she sampled the eggnog she'd made for herself. Before long, she started walking like an Egyptian down the street as the band blasted The Bangles' song. She was joined by a few 'Nistas. They had so much fun dancing the night away!

Incarnat baked garden plant-infused cakes. They were organic and made with glowing flowers. After enjoying a cupcake, she walked outside and started doing high kicks like a chorus girl in her front yard. Everyone was shocked but amused. The laughter and giggling spread like wildfire. So did the silliness.

While her chocolate chip cookies were baking, Annie planned on cleaning up before her friends arrived. She was covered in batter! However, instead of cleaning up, she went outside. She banged her spoon on the bottom of a pot to the beat of the music. Bits of yummy dough hit a few passersby. LOL

After dropping off Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies and her child to her mother's house, Shanaria returned home. While munching on the second batch of cookies, she grabbed the chalk and left happy doodles all over the neighborhood: on houses, on vehicles, on sidewalks, on everything!

Sunday morning, the 'Nistas found themselves waking up in the strangest places: on the front lawn, on the sidewalk, even across the hood of a neighbor's car.  It almost seemed like a dream. None of the Fashionistas could wrap their heads around what had happened. Sure, life had gotten stressful, but no one imagined they needed to blow off steam that badly. There were no complaints, no injuries, no problems, no damage... Honestly, a good time was had by all.


The following day, arriving for work unseen, EmmyAna smiled to herself as she quickly put some special pastries in the breakroom. They looked irresistible! At her desk, she hid two regular pastries. She'd enjoy them later while Admin ate the others. She was going to "lighten" things up a bit in the office, the same way she'd done in her neighborhood. Today at work would be anything but another "Manic Monday!"

I've never actually taken care of my 'Nista's kitchen, so that was motivation ! I loved Michty's idea, nice touch with the floor on her head and such an original take !

Oh I've enjoyed this so much, thank you EmmyAna and all the nistas who joined ! I definitely did holler the Bangles songs more than one  a Friday night , especially "Walk Like an Egyptian" ( how did you guess?? ) sometime in the eighties, in British streets to boot, I was living there in 1985 ! . That, Blondie, Bronski Beat and Frankie Goes To Hollywood were the staples of our kitchen parties ^^  I loooove Manic Monday, I regularly sing it still.

I 'd be on cloud nine if I experienced everything you describe right now, we need this so much ; life used to be such a blast when I was a very young adult in England . I also think Michty 's idea was the top, great bar, I'd definitely hang out there if I could .

It was a lot of fun to participate and it's nice to have a contest that includes the rooms of the house. It's a bit of an overlooked part of the game and it's nice to push us to decorate our apartment! Everyone who participated made beautiful outfits and decorations!
