Hello everyone, my name is Sanja and this is my first contest with Fashionistas!
This is a story writing contest so there will be some writing included in this - some drama, some love, some gossip and a little bit of everything else since it's Gossip Girl, after all!
To quote my buddy, Tonks, I encourage everyone who hasn't been in a story writing contest before to join and have fun with us!

Welcome to Constance Billiard Private School, now a co-ed school!
Settled in the middle of New York, just next to the steps of the MET museum, Constance is the right school for all the golden youth of the world. Superb staff, perfected curriculum and enough extra-curricular activities to keep all your ambitions alive and all your talents sharp. It does come at a price and all of the people going here are filthy rich, very active in all fields and with a bright future in front of them.


Back in the early 2000’s, a scandalous blogger called Gossip girl surfaced and made the lives of the elite girl students of CB quite impossible. No stone was left unturned when it came to finding the mysterious person behind many exposing stories and life-ruining posts. The blog was shut down and after almost 7 years there was a long period of old-fashioned gossip and rumour spreading around the school instead of blog posts.
Now, 10 years after the events, every single student with an Instagram account (who are we kidding, everyone’s got those) got a follow (request) from a very familiar looking profile picture – black, gold & double-G.
Nothing happened for a while, but the number of followers for @GossipGirlR.I.Perfection. has skyrocketed over a course of a very silent month. Then, the first post came around and things got serious again.

New decade, new people, new rules.

There’s no better way of describing Sonia than to say she is a true royal – not only by blood or by fashion standards. Since she moved to New York from Paris two years ago, she has been deemed royalty of CB and acted as such. Her first rule of action was to dethrone the previous queen whose name we don’t really remember and get into a relationship with her then-boyfriend, Jan, which is a relationship going strong still. Sonia is smart, she’s mostly collected and always with a witty response on the top of her head. Her taste is impeccable and she loves the finer things in life, enjoying all the perks of her luxurious upbringing as much as she possibly can. She’s known to forgive, rarely forgets, never goes against her beliefs. Most things she does seem effortless when it comes to her – charms, flirting, social matters, destroying or making lives – whatever Sonia does, she does it perfectly. She’s best friends with the rest of the #ITSquad and cherishes her little group more than anything else. Sonia likes to spend her summers cruising the Mediterranean, skiing in the Alps during winter and her Christmas is bound to her hometown, Paris, where she is planning to spend the rest of her life, taking over the design business of her family.

Jan Carlyle is a determined guy who usually knows what he wants, or in cases, he doesn't, knows how to find out – trial and error – which is his way of doing things in life. He likes testing things out for himself; the experience tops it all, even if he usually tries to stay with the positive ones. He’s the type you wouldn’t miss in the street or a crowded room - tall, handsome, athletic and aware of it all – the mixture of privilege, ambition and confidence becomes him and it’s not hard to fall for the whole package he is. He loves spending his time with his friends, enjoys sports and moderate usage with his baby sister. He’s been in a relationship with Sonia for three years now and it’s still going strong, despite the fact he’s known to modest flirtations from time to time, which normally is a short-term occupation when he’s extremely bored. He does get bored with things often – most things, that is – and his attention span is not the longest, at least when it comes to certain people and things. Jan is aware his academic career is only a formality and his goals are within their family hotel, a place he truly loves. His favourite spot to be is definitely New York, although he does love sunny beaches and mountain slopes occasionally.

Music runs through Nia’s veins, this is one thing you can’t miss about her – always with earbuds, or an instrument or generally humming some melody to herself – she loves music and the muses of it have blessed her. She’s utterly talented when it comes to singing and playing alike, you could say she masters every instrument she touches easily, only her life tends to get too hectic at times and the hours in a day are limited so she rarely uses her full potential. Nia is good at all aspects of rock too – she’s no stranger to occasional dab into usage either, but she’s quite good with avoiding getting caught in the act – she tends to run wild. Nia is very rebellious, vocal about her stands, loyal when she remembers it and very spontaneous person which often turns to recklessness. She lives in a world where everything is a party - it really is when you have unlimited access to a suit in one of the most prestigious hotels in NY. You’ll easily notice if she dislikes you, even if she’ll have the courtesy not to say it – she’ll just avoid contact as much as she can. Adores Jan and Sonia the most, she doesn’t mind Klara either. She adores spending her summers in the Netherlands and visit all kinds of concerts in Europe.

Under the word overachiever in every dictionary, you’ll find Klara’s photo. She’s a straight-A student with impeccable record and skin alike, busy academic and social schedule, friends and recommendations coming from high positions – she has her cake and eats it too. She is one busy person, she wastes no time on trivialities, and she’s very goal-oriented and extremely ambitious. Klara plans to double-major at either Harvard or Yale – business and mechanical engineering – and there’s nothing getting in her way. Well, other than herself – she has moments of self-doubt, she tends to get envious of things and in general, she deals badly with criticism. She’s affectionate, lady-like, and very cute in her tiny frame which provokes some kind of protectiveness in people until you talk to her sharp mind and realize she needs no protection. She can be extremely cruel, cold and once she wraps her fingers around something, she doesn’t let go – well, most of the time. Klara dresses like a proper lady and her manners are the same – if she destroys you socially, you can be sure there will be no traces leading back to her at any point. She’ll always keep herself clean. She’s best friends with both Sonia and Jan but doesn’t have the taste for Nia. Summers she spends with her family in Germany, Austria and Mediterranean, enjoying yachts and relaxing.

Marco Tommaso Bicego Jr., turned 18 on May 4th

The only child of famous Italian jeweller brand owner and designer, Marco Tomasso Bicego Sr. and winemaker, Barbara Nardi.

Most likely the most adored in the group, Marco is the type you’ll remember all the years in the future because he’ll probably still look the same – gorgeous, happy, tanned and living the fantasy. He’s the happy-go-lucky type, he worries very little, dates a lot, doesn’t think there’s anything greater than love and he loves to be in love. He’s the type to try and win girls over, he’ll send poems and songs and lyrics alike, send out hearts and kisses, until he’s over it in the next two weeks or so. He means no harm, in the end, but he’s also not doing anyone well with this behaviour. He’s kind and funny, easily gets along with everyone, and doesn’t care much for fights or being right. He can get childish from time to time. He has amazing energy levels, but his attention span is very short, especially during classes – he easily dozes off, gets lost in games or scrolling through IG. A couple of years ago he started modelling, which is his source of unsupervised cash and he loves it. Marco loves dancing, he doesn’t mind going out every day of the week and he is never, ever hungover. His summers are spent in Italy and Greece, winters at his ski house at Italian Alps, skiing and lounging around.

The Regulars

Liam Blohms, turned 18 on August 7th

Youngest son of yacht and boat manufacturer Richard Blohms, and a rich heiress Julie Bergdorf.

Liam is the most British thing you’ll find in New York these days. Tall, smart, ginger-haired and well-aware of all good things to come out of the Monarchy – sailing, polo and Shakespearean dramas. He’s preparing to take over his spot in the family business (no, not really) and definitely not doing his very best to end up taking a lead in the next blockbuster of the season. Son of a WASP, naturally, has the best taste and you can find him in the front row of most shows during London Fashion Week, talking to the Beckham kids – his modelling career might as well have gone to hiatus in the last two years with the occasional return if the chance is really good. He’s close friends with the future British king and rumour has it, possible prince, too. In case you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t heard of him – nearly impossible – Liam was a star since he was born and will most likely be such until he dies – hopefully, not too young.  He’s spoilt, full of himself but genuinely not a bad person – he won’t really make it to the shortlist of Nobel peace prize, but he could be a good friend if you are a good friend back.

His IG (@liam_b) is the second most followed one, after Raphael’s and before Sonia’s, and full of picture-perfect things – from romantic dinners, cool resorts, polo matches and fashion show live feeds.


Julian Makimoto, turned 16 last December 12th

The youngest child in the family dealing with industry and oils, his father is the CEO of the company and his mother is a financial consultant.

Julian is a resourceful guy who doesn’t care about the social conformities he lives in – well, he is very good at economics and laws of supply and demand. He’s raised on a short leash which made him very good at avoiding getting caught doing forbidden things – well, up until he made some over-confident mistakes and his parents tightened the leash even more. Then he had to get super resourceful and make up for the lack of disposable income he was used to. Julian likes to have fun, he has expensive taste and he can blow a fortune on good times – food, movies, trips around the country, rare collectable items, you name it, he has it. So, he did what he could – he started selling goods around the school and his business is definitely blooming. His secret in avoiding getting caught in the usual suspects' group is basically doing nothing – he just goes along doing his thing carefully and not worry about it much. Works so far. Julian is intelligent with a dry sense of humour, absolutely no filter and going from being extremely social to not really wanting to leave the house. He’s not the type to follow the rules, except his own – never try the things you’re selling – he’s as clear as a whistle. Julian loves spending summers in New York when it empties out.

His IG (@an.li.ju) is very much empty, although he has a lot of followers who are still waiting for him to actually post something – he uses it to help his work only.


Suh Dae-soo, turned 17 on April 3rd

Heir to Amorepacific, skin care industry giant in South Korea, the only child to CEO father and CFO mother, founder grandfather.

High expectation is a normal thing for Dae-soo and he lives to exceed the expectations of everyone. Sometimes successfully, all the times extremely successfully. He’s a very quick learner, he picks things up easily and doesn’t actually do much work to achieve perfection – he’s one lucky guy. Surrounded with ambitious people, he turned out extremely non-ambitious – his life goals are simply to exceed expectations, but it has nothing to do with what he wants – he simply knows he has to do it. With so many things he feels he has to do combined with the fact, there are only 24 hours to a day, Dae-soo doesn’t really know what he likes – he never had the time to find out. So, the little free time he has, he usually spends walking around – staying still comes hard to him, luckily, this is not often. Dae-soo plays piano and violin and speaks 5 languages but neither are his passion. He’s a nice person who’s on the verge of discovering himself only he is yet to find time to do it and he has the need to befriend people who would push him out of his comfort zone and then rarely finds time to look for them – it’s one of the reasons he moved to NY a year ago.

His IG is definitely non-existent. No, really, he doesn't have it.


Raffaelle Bruni, turned 18 last December 3rd

Child of absolutely no one important – Giuliana Bruni, a librarian from Rome and Sicilian trattoria owner Andrea Bruni

Unlike most people here, Raphael is a self-made man – leader, guitarist and singer of Shivers, a famous band that grew in popularity over the last two years. His good looks, larger-than-life charisma, peculiar fashion sense and overall charm made him a star of a couple of fashion campaigns, frequent muse for designers and filthy rich. Raphael decided he shouldn’t go uneducated and decided to transfer to Constance immediately – he’s been in New York for a year, in his penthouse on UES and travelling frequently from Europe to NYC. His attendance isn’t high, but no one actually cares – he’s keeping his work well and shows up to classes paying attention. He’s got an attractive personality – he simply radiates the rockstar appeal and people are drawn to him immediately. He’s known for his social media activism for LGBTQ rights and doesn’t miss a chance to speak up about issues. You’ll notice him easily – he’s a tall guy with long hair, usually with an undercut, with a leather jacket, super colourful silk shirt, faux fur or something else most wouldn’t dare wearing and black painted nails. He’s no stranger to makeup – especially khol for his shows – and doesn’t judge a book by the cover. Still, you’ll get a plus point for coolness.

His IG (@heavily_sedated) could be the coolest thing you’ll see in your lifetime. End of story. Concerts, activism, photoshoots, cool looks, fashion shows, cool people – rockstar life.

Newcomers

Andreas Santo Domingo, will turn 18 on February 21st

Oldest child of Alejandro Santo Domingo, vice-chairman of a financial company in Colombia and Maria Fernanda Delgado, MD and head of a private plastic surgery clinic.

Andreas was born to a young couple of ambitious people who were in the middle of their climb when their child was born. He spent most of his childhood with his grandparents and his absent parents took it to them to decide he’s better off rich than anything else. This absence took the tool on him and they never really developed a good relationship with Andreas like they did with their other children which came more than a decade later. Andreas, feeling alone his whole life, took it upon himself to find comfort in other things – a company he couldn’t really call friends, girls whose names he never remembers and parties he never wants to leave. He realized early on that he can get away in life by doing the bare minimum and once this is done, he’s done trying. He’s highly sociable, but also very impulsive and explosive, which sometimes even leads to fights and his shallow relationships with most people. At the end of the day, Andreas tends to be the type of person people admire or envy, but he’s not really easily likeable – his charm is only skin deep and when he’s done with you, he’s done completely.

There’s not much on his IG (@idg.a.f), he only follows a limited number of people while he’s being followed by many. He has much more tagged photos than his own.


Issa bin Masoor al-Thani of Quatar; will turn 17 on January 23rd

Issa is a potential future ruler of UEA, grandson of the current sheikh and the only son of Masoor and his wife Amira.

A rare bird in his family – the only child – and a very intelligent one, Issa has been cherished since he was a kid. Bright, somewhat loner and utterly observant, Issa is what everyone hopes the future sheikh would be. He’s not sure about it tho since his mother always thought him to stay humble and not get all the compliments hit his head, so he did just that. Two feet on the ground, but his head still in the clouds, Issa dreams of travelling the world and joining various ecological and social causes to help make this place better – his views often worry his family because of his very unusual views. Issa is a diplomatic person but still knows how to jump to conclusion from time to time. He easily gets jealous, he can’t help it, he cherishes his friends more than anything and this is where his jealous is mostly directed to. He has been raised to become a monarch, so his education was – until now – based on it, and now he decided he’d like to have a normal school experience. He gets insecure at times because he believes there’s so much more he is yet to learn. He loves reading, especially mystery fiction. He wishes to have strength in life to accept his role (whichever it will be) and do his best to it.

Issa’s IG (@isaltah) is not that full – he prefers scenery, nature, skylines and architecture shots over selfies and party pictures, although there are occasional photos of him at a family function, with his loved ones only.


Mila Christensen, turned 16 on July 2nd

Mila is the first child of supermodel Shalom Harlow and IT visionary Randolph Christensen.

Ever since famous supermodel Shalom Harlow announced her retirement at the young age of 27 in order to start a family with her husband, the world was sure these children will have the genetics that will sweep you off the feet. When Mila turned 15, she got her first magazine cover and proved them all right. She’s a young girl who’s highly ambitious, self-aware and utterly in control of every part of her life. She doesn’t do anything half-way and she doesn’t allow herself to get distracted from achieving her goal – becoming a bigger name than her mother was. She’s tall, thin with luscious hair and needs no effort in being almost perfect – she’s also aware of this. Mila loves most things teenagers do, but has the self-control to know when to quit them – she never eats junk food, drinks sodas or alcohol, never did any drugs – she likes to do things properly. Mila is actually a very funny person, with a little bit of a darker sense of humour – which is a surprise given her bright nature and the smile she wears all the time. Fashion is her passion and she’d like to go into the design at one point – she’s very creative and often seeks outlets for this creative spirit of hers while trying to stay focused on normal academics too.

Her IG (@milaharlowchristensen)is a nice combination of professional photo shoots, behind-the-scenes, candids and private moments, with occasional post of memes. She communicates with her followers a lot too.

Gossip Girl Instagram

Summer has officially ended, so it seems, it’s back for all of us to get out of our chocolate-coloured bikinis and into those boots – from Isabelle to Wellies – the choice is yours. After my well-deserved (#modesty) vacation on this perfect island, I’m back and anxious to find out who’s been up to no good or do-gooding. Either way, it seems that the season of change is already in motion and there have been some changes on our dirty rotten skies.

#QueenB and #GoldenBoy have returned from their annual weekend vacay at Bali and they might have brought the paradise back with them. All smiles, tanned skin, holding hands and complexion only good sex can give you. What can we say, except #couplegoals.

The rest of the #ITSquad seems to be doing well too - #Cupid seems to have his normal puppy-love-big-eyed expression on and I cannot be more curious to find out who’s the reason behind it since he’s been seen dumping the next Bianca Balti only a couple of weeks ago on her birth island near Sardinia, stomping her heavenly long legs to the ground as he sailed away into the sunset with #WildChild, who has been more than happy throughout these summer months. Sober, not so much, but hey, the most gorgeous people tend to live fast. Hopefully, for #WildChild, it doesn’t imply dying young. Overdosing has been faux pas for a while now, if #Heiress was a little less boring, she could have given her a very detailed lesson about it ages ago. There was nothing in her life or bed for the entire three months and it’s absolutely unhealthy to go through an entire summer without a flirt, at least – I do think we can all agree on this one – so, should we be worried, #Heiress? Do let us all know, we’re curious to find out.

As for the rest, short recap should do – the most interesting ones are covered. In other news, #CandyMan seems to be living the life in the city – apparently, New York doesn’t stop existing during the summer, who knew? #Ghost is still ghosting us all, of course, there’s absolutely nothing interesting he did during the summer, unless you count him starting his own brand plans, but earning millions before 21 is not really something we find amusing. Speaking of amusing, in case you’ve missed it #Starboy and his girlfriend of 3 years – whoops, ex now, have broken up in the messiest of ways. Don’t worry, Daily Mail covered it entirely. Just kidding. I know you already did. #Rockstar, on the other hand apparently has someone – there are rumours of his bandmember being more than just a good friend and there’s a blurry photo posted by a fan after a concert showing there might be something there. You know what they say – where there’s smoke, there’s fire.

Spotted - a bunch of newcomers to the school and this whole dark mess suddenly looks a lot brighter - the first day is going well from where I'm sitting and not only because I'm doing it in my vintage Levi's jacket and my favourite Elie Saab RTW combo.
Newcomer with an actual flare – there’s a 6’5’’ glass of tall dark-haired beauty about to raid the Constance Billiard and it looks like he’s going to be #Trouble. Unlike the #Prince, who actually seems nothing like the hashtag he’s so frequently tagged at – there was no rich kids’ shenanigans anywhere in sight a week after his arrival – is this prince a pauper IRL? The third one has legs for miles and legacy even longer – this Amazon is actually destined to win the fashion game – but how will #Legacy do in this world most cruel? We’ll find out soon!
Our ranks seem to be filling as we type and you surely cannot miss #Cher sparkling her way down the hall. Even if you tried, like, very, very hard. This southern belle seem to be unaware of some basic rules around here, such as plaid is plaid, contemporary art isn’t - in any case, madam(e) #Cher seems to be the loudest sight today, so far. On the opposite side of this scale sits a very delicious #Mystery - he’s tall and handsome and very, very secretive. Silent, strong type that seems to say little could be what we all want (or need?), only I’m normally burdened with worry that the silence might mean they have nothing important to say? Could it be, #Mystery, do you have an appealing appearance and a deficit of substance to support it? Oh, do let us know!
And oh la la, un petite invasion française is on the way! All the way from the land of perfumes, cheeses and all things smelly, two newcomers très délicieux et très jolie aussi. One of them appears to be floating through the halls of the school - turning a couple of heads in the process too (hope none ends up getting chopped off, tho, Marie Antoinette holds a strong tradition in these French girls) and  #PolkaDots seems to be the type of girl you’d imagine running around a flower field, barefoot and utterly natural, fragrant with freshly picked herbs, flowers. Then again, you might have one of those awful cases of spring allergies which makes the whole thing utterly unbearable.

I’m attending Constance Billiards because… Another big fight with the oldest family member, Her and her grandpa don’t see eye to eye a lot of time and Nica though it the best idea to take a break and go to New York, of course, her parents won’t let her fly out here without her having a plan so she just chose a school she knew for sure her grandfather would have nothing against and her parents agreed to it.

I’m attending Constance Billiards because... Grandma-ma Marina-Laguna says that a proper young Southern lady should know how to swindle with the best of the pool sharks that frequent the bordello, but I'm pretty sure they don't actually teach you billiards at the academy. Anyway, there's also the slight detail that my previous school, the Crawford Sanatorium For Wayward & Wayweird Girls has seen fit to 'graduate me early'.. even though it doesn't come with an actual diploma, but they have changed all the locks and I think maybe couldn't afford to pay the electric bill anymore since the lights suddenly seem to flicker off every time I knock. Either way, this has necessitated my transfer for sophomore year.. of which I was promoted to by skipping the 8th & 9th grades a few years back.. but I enjoyed it so much, I may have failed my finals twice so that I could repeat the tenth grade. I'll probably make it this go-around, but you know what they say, third time's the charm!

"I, like, don't get it," the clearly-bleached blonde marched right up to me, a good two inches shorter, and stared up at me with no uncertain hostility. I just thought she was enamored with watching her reflection in my polarized spectacles. I had to wear glasses most of the time. Well, sunglasses. On account of my delicate eye condition, they were so sensitive to harsh lighting, the doc said I might have BetaDaVis eyes - tests still inconclusive. I knew they were frowned upon in most school settings, but I got dispensation for it.

Apparently the wicked stepmother was able to tear away from the magic-mirror-du-jour to scrunch up her over-plucked brows and indicate my shoes. "Christian Louboutin?"

"Nooooo," I gasped in surprise, "I haven't done baton since middle school, though I did get to twirl in the Mardi Gras parade. Do you have to be a Christian to join the majorette squad here? That might be worth sneaking into church for.. wow, you really never do expect the Spanish Inquisition on your first day!"

Bleached-Blanket-Bimbo's veneers peeped through the slackjaw as she pointedly pointed her pointer - unpolished, by the way! - turned up at my face and over-enunicated: "Furrrr-eek!"

I could have easily bit off a good half-inch but I wanted to save room for lunch - I'd heard they had world-class cuisine on campus - so I looked over her head at the MET in the distance and drawled, laying the accent on a little thick.

"I mean, if it's all about who-you-know and the company you keep and especially here in New Amsterdamned, I know y'all like to say location-location-location? Then how can you judge me when your neighbors with that there artie-ficial museum on your precious alma mater's doorstep? They even allow Picasso in there! I mean my goodness-gracious-great-balls-of-napalm, have you seen Pablo's work on a good day? At least I have less than three noses!"

The haughty-looking anorexic turned neatly on her Lubed-up heels and stalked away, leaving me alone in the crowded quad. Perhaps I should have said my locks weren't the only thing platinum and whip out one of my debit cards? Who could say with these peeps, she was definitely a whore-of-another-color but I was on the case - there was nothing I loved more than a mystery.. other than a murder mystery!

So I glanced down over my uniform again.

Did the skirt qualify as 'plaid'? What was plaid anyway? Square-shaped shapes, yeah? Eh, who knew, maybe I was dyslexic, I should get dispensation for that. Also compensation. Nevertheless, it had been a longstanding dream of mine to get expelled from one school in every state in the union.. damn yankees.. hopefully for dress code violations, crossing glittery phalanges!

I was born on Halloween and always believed that life is basically nothing more than a Masquerade Ball.. but should be lived like a horror film! So in hewing to a bit of that axe-murders' axiom, I did done durn darnedest my best to live everyday like it was that witch's last!

I’m attending Constance Billiards because... It's a good place to study, that's why! And to get to know people - the beautiful, the rich, and the glamorous. Given Mama and Baba are off on their work trip, and that their daughter needs to continue her conventional education and to know people (and the city), it was the perfect place to be. Not to mention, Nana's got some relatives here to keep an eye on her... or do their best to.
