Prologue- peace, quiet, and tech
Almost four months, Olive has been in jail, and she knew it would be time to leave soon. With another keystroke, she monitored her illegal jail fighting club and the bets coming in. 70% of the winnings went into her own pockets. The rest had to tribute to the corrupt agents and jail director. They had been easy to deal with; she had expected to have an earning of only 53% at the most. In this jail, but her calculation had been wrong, the excellent kind of wrong.
Olive looked up from her laptop on her bunked bed to see her jail mate still staring at the wall as she told her to do. Olive got a smirk on her lips. The woman had been the wife of one alpha male of a Columbian cartel when she got in. Still, she had annoyed Olive in the wrong way, so Olive beat her up and made the second in command the new leader with just two phone calls, which automatically made another woman the top female in prison. This plan was another unexpected thing that happened, but Olive thought on her feet.
Almost four months ago, her father called her and told her about an arranged marriage to someone. Olive refused and decided she needed some peace and quiet to escape her father's pressuring. So she planned her stay in this jail; it had more pros than cons after all.
♥Almost four months earlier
Liv still wished she had just let her phone ring that day and gone do her yoga.
"Hello, father," Olive answers.
She could bring herself to be a little more polite to her father, mother (Feng Fenyang), and older brother, and there, her politeness would stop, and she will be blunt to whomever.
"Hello Olive, I want you home next week; there is someone I like you to meet," Her father said straight to the point, no chit-chatting when it comes to her father, which Liv appreciates.
"Who is this someone?" Liv asks him, "Your future husband, if everything goes right," Liv almost groaned but kept it in.
"That is not possible, father. I am busy," Olive was glaring at her phone; she had put it on loudspeaker so that she could keep working on something that would get her enough money to win over her older brother in the upcoming family meeting.
"That wasn't a request, Eden," Her glare just deepened. She hated her second name; it was a useless thing on her passport.
"Father, I am hanging up now. I am busy," Olive replied, but her father ignored that information.
"It will be over a week; you better be dead or in jail, to miss out on it, Olive Eden," Her father's threat clearly heard in his voice.
"Noted," Liv replied and hung up.
Death or jail? death or jail? death or jail? was going around in her head. Forging her death and keep earning money would be annoying, and she would give her brother an easy way to the Zhou name.
"Jail," Liv mumbled to herself and pulled her phone closer to herself in search of a good jail where she could do some badass-ness incardinated. While also keeping track of the stocks and other things that are earning her money.
An annoyed sigh escaped her. Her dad just made her older brother win once again. Next time she will beat him for sure. She wished she had as much free rein as her brother did.
Three days later, she had her plan worked out and was on the plane to Miami, Florida. It would be the easiest way to execute her plan.
The plan was to easily steal a car, get caught, hire a bad lawyer, be sent to detention, not pay bail, get thrown in jail close to the border of Miami, and start an illegal fighting ring while your incardinated. Liv ironed the details better, but you get the point.
Her lawyers' only problem was that he awful, not only bad, and it almost ruined her plan if she hadn't known some law. Which too Liv annoyance she could have represented herself.
All in all, the plan ended well.
Not so much for the lawyer after Liv posted some stuff on him online on his company website. If he couldn't practice the law, he should disappear. Olive hated when her time/ plan got wasted.
♥Present
"You can go to bed," Olive speaks up when she knew the woman was almost collapsing.
The woman turns around, sees the smirk, shudders before rushing to climb the bunk bed and lay down.
Olive snickers, oh how she loved her easy life here, but she also knew that it wouldn't be forever, maybe seven more days at the top her eyes fell on a notification of a new mail. Make that four days, Liv thought after seeing the date when opening the mail from her father.
As soon as she was done, she grabbed her phone and pressed some buttons reading the mail. She waited till she heard the response of a greeting and responded.
"Make my papers ready to leave," was all she said before hanging up.
After the call, she stood up from the bed; it was time for her morning routine, yoga, and thinking of her next move to help her father earn more money. So her cut could be more significant. Or maybe she should ignore her mother and start killing her siblings; it would also give her a more substantial amount. Sometimes, being into the family business's illegal aspect makes you heartless/ruthless in your thinking. Liv didn't care about breaking promises but seeing her mother hurt would kill her slowly.
Liv sighed and closed her eyes while inhaling deeply, "Don't even think of it," Liv said when she heard her prison mate behind her.
She was adequately trying to knock her out, but Liv had heard her leave the bunker bed a while earlier.
"I won't beat you up this time, but I kill you and leave this place just the same," Liv continued, still with her eyes close and taking the following position on her black mat.
"Good choice," Liv spoke up when she heard the footsteps retreat.
It was only a day later she stepped out of the jail's doors, sunshine hitting her just right. A limousine waiting for her, she steps in, "Airport" is the only thing that leaves her lips. She not even looks at the driver; her gaze turned to the outside.
