I've never tried pumpkin before. Is it similar to anything else? And what's a whoopie-pie?
My Mum used to make an amazing moist chocolate cake that used almond flour instead of usual. It was amazing :D She's really good at baking cakes. Have you checked out recipes by Mary Berry? She's one of the real old timers in British baking.
Ooh, what sort of stuff have you been baking? My mum's an execellent baker, and I've been trying to learn how to make cakes!
It's where grain (wheat, barley, oats, oilseed rape) is taken to once it's been combined. Lots of farmers will just keep it in their own sheds, but we can dry and store the grain, and it can be sold and removed whenever the farmer likes. It takes a lot of stress out of farming, because grain left in ill-equiped farmyward sheds can go bad quickly, and farmers can lose a lot of money. Out store has a full capacit fo 32,000 metric tonnes :)
I think most countries have similar places, but unless you work in agriculture you don't really notice them.
I work in a grain store :) I started off in the lab and weighbridge, but when I started working full time I moved into the office as well. It's a fairly small business and I'm the only girl there, but it's a nice atmosphere :)
Hah, sounds unconventional but I have to say it sounds totally like how I'd imagine you to do it based on everything you spoke about on MB!
I dropped out of university in my second term. Now I'm in the wonderful world of work /s/
Actually, I'm just starting. I'v been vegetarian for about 6 years, but it's just this year I finally understood I was fooling myself. For me the hardest part is really living with meat-eaters; my fiancé's parents don't know about me turning vegan, and since I'm at their place about every other week-end... I'm a little nervous about their reaction.
I live in France, where vegetarianism is not very common (many people claiming to be vegetarian still eat fish, for example), and veganism is regarded as extreme. It's probably pretty much the same elsewhere, but I believe this mistrust should be worse in a country that prides itself on its foie gras and allows bullfighting.
